Therapy with the Brain in Mind: Applications of Interpersonal Neurobiology to Trauma and Healing

KAMFT is pleased to announce our upcoming Annual Clinical Conference on March 1-3, 2012.  Beginning on Thursday, March 1st, preconference workshops on clinical supervision and another on ethics titled, Ethical Issues of Therapists’ Involvement in Social Networking, will be offered.

On Friday and Saturday, March 2-3rd, our conference keynote speaker, Dr. Bonnie Badenoch, will explore ways to integrate the discoveries of neuroscience with the art of psychotherapy.  Additional opportunities for networking and sharing ideas for research and clinical practice will be available through the following:

  • Student and New Professional Poster Presentations (during conference breaks on Friday)
  • KAMFT Networking and Awards Luncheon with our guest speaker, Dr. Tom Hawk, Executive Director of the Behavioral Science Regulatory Board of Kansas (Friday at Noon)
  • Clinical Supervisor Breakfast (Saturday morning)
  • Student Breakfast (Saturday morning)

Our partner, the KC Play Therapy Institute, will be providing a workshop to train those interested in Play Therapy during our conference at the Doubletree.  Information and registration for that workshop is located on their website.
