President (2011-2013)

Dr. Lord is a tenured professor of marriage and family therapy at Friends University, Wichita, KS.  Prior to 2007, Dr. Lord directed the University’s nationally accredited Master of Science in Family Therapy graduate program for 18 years.  From 2007 to 2009, he served as the University’s Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, before returning to the MFT program as senior faculty member and clinical supervisor. Dr. Lord has been active as a professional leader over the past two decades, serving as a previous KAMFT board member and president, the MFT representative on the Kansas BSRB, and the president of the national Association of Marital and Family Therapy Regulatory Boards (AMFTRB).  He has been recognized by awards from KAMFT and AAMFT.  He currently teaches courses in attachment theory, neuroscience, trauma, and EFT, and supervision.

Treasurer (2010-2012)

Dr. Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Kansas State University.
He earned his M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kansas State University and his Ph.D. in Family Science with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Anderson teaches courses in assessment, couples therapy, and research methods and mentors students in clinical and research practica. His primary research interests are in marriage, families and health, and military families. Dr. Anderson is a clinical member of AAMFT and resides in Manhattan with his wife, Stacy, and three children.

Member-at-Large (2010-2012)

Amy Driskill was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. She received her Bachelor of science degree in psychology from Barclay College in 2005 and her Master of science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University in 2007. Since graduating Amy has completed the Marriage and Family Therapy clinical licensure requirements as well as recently began working with MSFT graduate students at Friends University as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate.
Currently Ms. Driskell maintains a private practice as a part-time therapist serving individuals within the Wichita area community. In addition, she works with adolescents who are residing within the custody of the Juvenile Justice System to provide in-home or community based therapy for the adolescents and their families. It is Ms. Driskell’s investment in the adolescent population that has paved the way for her continuing education in the area of neurological research and creative arts therapy techniques. These continued learning experiences have provided an understanding as well as hands on skills to aid struggling teens in behavior alternatives. She resides within the suburban Wichita area with her husband of 15 years and their four children.

Member-at-Large (2011-2013)

Dr. Amanor-Boadu, PhD., LMFT, is a Research Assistant Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Kansas State University.  She has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since December, 2006 and graduated from KSU’s doctoral program in December, 2009.  Dr. Amanor-Boadu conducts research in the areas of domestic violence, immigration, and military families, she teaches courses in family therapy theory, and sees clients at KSU’s Family Center.  Her clinical interests are in the treatment of domestic violence, interpersonal trauma recovery, working with cross-cultural families, and the management of mood disorders.
