KAMFT Annual Events
Spring Clinical Conference
The KAMFT Annual Clinical Conference occurs the first weekend in March (Friday and Saturday) at the DoubleTree in Overland Park, Kansas. Previous topics have included: couples therapy, self-inflicted violence, sexual addiction, and attachment family therapy. Links to the resources of past and upcoming clinical conference presenters are available in the Clinical Resources section of this website. Participants receive 12.0 CEUs.
Supervisor Refresher Workshop
A Supervisor Refresher Workshop is offered annually for those preparing to renew their AAMFT Approved Supervisor status. This workshop occurs in conjunction with the Annual Clinical Conference at the DoubleTree on the Thursday (9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.) before the beginning of the conference. Participants receive 5.0 CEUs.
Ethics Preconference
An Ethics Preconference is offered annually for those preparing to renew their Kansas license. This preconference occurs in conjunction with the Annual Clinical Conference at the DoubleTree on the Thursday (6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m.) before the beginning of the conference. Participants receive 3.0 CEUs.
Practice/Research Networking Forum
The Practice/Research Forum is designed for and lead by Student and Associate members to offer opportunities to learn more about their practice and research interests through poster presentations, professional panel discussions, and roundtable presentations. This will be a great opportunity for students and associate members to build their vita or resume as they share their interests related to specific practice issues. Participants receive 3.0 CEUs.

Fall Event
Beginning this coming fall, KAMFT will host a fall event designed to bring members together from around the state for obtaining continuing education, engaging in professional networking, and sharing ideas and resources related to the participants' research interests and professional practices. Each year the Fall Event will be hosted by the student organization at one of the MFT programs - K-State (Manhattan), Friends University (Wichita), and Friends University (Lenexa).
DSM Workshop
A DSM Workshop, is designed for those preparing to renew their Kansas license. Previous topics have included: treatment of addictions, diagnosis and treatment of PTSD in returning veterans, and diagnosis and treatment of reactive attachment disorders. Participants receive up to 6.0 CEUs.
Professional Workshop
A Professionals Workshop, is designed to support new and seasoned clinicians professional development. Issues addressed at previous workshops have included: applying to insurance panels, obtaining insurance reimbursement, practice marketing strategies, and collaborating with allied professionals to provide effective client care. Participants receive 3.0 CEUs.
Practice/Research Networking Forum
The Practice/Research Forum is designed for and lead by Student and Associate members to offer opportunities to learn more about their practice and research interests through poster presentations, professional panel discussions, and roundtable presentations. Networking Luncheon
A luncheon, offered between workshops during the fall event, will host a guest speaker and provide participants an opportunity to meet other clinicians form around the state and share ideas and resources for enhancing their clinical practices. Participants receive 1.0 CEU
