      9:00 a.m. - CONFERENCE WORKSHOP • Session One
      Basics of brain structure and function, with emphasis on brain development in the
      first two years of life in traumatic and non-traumatic circumstances; beginning exploration of how the
      self of the therapist facilitates brain change

      10:15 a.m. (During Break) - PRACTICE/RESEARCH NETWORKING FORUM
      Students and New Professionals will present posters in the foyer showcasing their clinical and research
      interests

      12:00 noon - KAMFT NETWORKING AND AWARDS LUNCHEON – KAMFT ANNUAL MEETING
      Guest Speaker:  Tom Hawk, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Kansas BSRB
      This new format for the Friday luncheon includes a guest speaker of specific interest to the local MFT community, with input and group interaction awarding 1 CEU.  As a KAMFT
      Member Event, the luncheon is complementary to current KAMFT Members who register by the February 17 deadline.  Non-members are invited to attend as guests for a
      $25 charge paid with registration.  Presentation of the KAMFT Service Awards and a brief annual meeting follow Dr. Hawk’s presentation.

      2:00 p.m. - CONFERENCE WORKSHOP • Session Two
      Understanding attachment experiences and using attachment as an
      assessment tool; deepening our awareness of our own attachment patterns and how they
      influence the therapeutic relationship

      3:15 p.m. (During Break) - PRACTICE/RESEARCH NETWORKING FORUM
      Students and New Professionals will present posters in the foyer showcasing their clinical and research
      interests

      5:00 p.m. - BOOK SIGNING
      Buy a copy of the book by Dr. Badenoch at the conference sales table, then have her autograph
      it for you right outside the meeting room.

      5:00 p.m. - PRACTICE/RESEARCH NETWORKING FORUM
      Students and New Professionals will present posters in the foyer showcasing their clinical and research
      interests

Saturday, March 3rd

      7:30 a.m. - SUPERVISORS’ BREAKFAST
      AAMFT Approved Supervisors, Supervisors-in-Training, and those interested in becoming approved
      supervisors will gather for informal sharing. Faculty from Kansas’ two COAMFTE-accredited MFT
      graduate programs, Kansas State University and Friends University, will be present to discuss
      national and state trends important to those conducting MFT supervision. Participants are
      responsible for the cost of their own meal.

      7:30 a.m. - STUDENTS’ BREAKFAST
      KAMFT sponsors this continental breakfast to welcome students to the annual conference. Join us
      in the Hospitality Suite to meet with other students and the KAMFT Student/Associate
      Representative to the KAMFT Board.

      The interpersonal neurobiology of play therapy with traumatized children
      (and teens) [illustrated by sand trays of a boy with disorganized attachment]

      2:00 p.m. - CONFERENCE WORKSHOP • Session Four
      Trauma treatment with the brain in mind with adults

      5:00 p.m. - Conference adjourns
