All members of KAMFT can assist the organization's efforts through many volunteer opportunities. 

KAMFT Board of Directors

The KAMFT Board oversees the planning and implementation of the organization's policies, events, and membership support.  The board consists of the following positions:

Officers

• President
• Past President
• President-Elect
• Secretary
• Treasurer

Board Members

• Members-at-Large (3 positions)
• Student-Associate Member

Committees

There are board committees that serve the overall needs of the organization through collaborative efforts and all member levels are encouraged to participate.  These include:

• Clinical Conference Committee
• Continuing Education Committee
• Ethics Committee
• Finance Committee
• Legislative Committee
• Marketing and Communication Committee
• Membership Committee

Member Eligibility

Clinical Members may serve in any capacity on the board (including as Officers of the Board) or on any of the committees.

Associate Members may serve on the KAMFT Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large and on any of the committees.

Affiliate Members may serve on any of the committees.

Student Members may serve on one position on the board (Student-Associate Member) and on any of the committees.  Students may also apply to volunteer to help with the registration table at the Annual Clinical Conference.  Applications for volunteer positions are due by February 1st prior to the conference.  These opportunities enable students to foster their professional development and networking with other MFTs as well as build their resume or vita.
